Sparked by a passion for creating thriving, functional communities, James Knapp founded Knapp Land Solutions in April 2013. The company got its start as a land planning design firm local to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Since that time the company has grown to design projects throughout the country ranging from master planned communities to detailed vision and community design guidelines, infill development, high-density residential planning, commercial and hospitality facilities to exciting and vibrant mixed-use and transit-related environments.

At KLS, we believe professional planning and urban design begins with a deep understanding of each project. Using a holistic approach, we collaborate with the client, stakeholders, community and allied professions to analyze existing conditions, identify challenges and define strategies for achieving a shared vision.
